Skills Brush Up Program

Looking to brush up your academic skills? Have a job interview or up for that promotion and need a quick brush up on your math skills? Maybe you'd like help with reading?

We can help! FOR FREE!

Community Education is proud to offer a program that exists along side our HSE classes, that is simply a "brush up" of your academic skills. It doesn't matter if you have a diploma or not. You will work with our instructors in our classes on the skills YOU want to work on, at YOUR pace. Our skills brush up is an individualized way for you to work with a teacher in a class setting on the skills you feel need strengthened.
How to get started:
1. CHOOSE the class option best for your schedule.

Monday - Thursday
 9 am - 1 pm or 6 pm - 8 pm

1 Blazer Blvd, Door #27

Elkhart, IN 46516

2. SIGN UP for Orientation.

The first step to enrolling in our skills brush up program is to register for an ORIENTATION. Attending an orientation is MANDATORY.

Registration opens on the 1st of every month, during the months school is in session, at 9 am. Please call

574-262-5678 to register. Official orientation dates will be given at the time of registration. Orientation times will correspond with the class time you register for. The registration period for the month is open until all of the seats are filled or the Friday before orientation begins, whichever comes first. Seats are reserved on a first come, first serve basis.

When registering you will be asked the following information. If you are helping another individual register please have their information ready.

*Class choice  *Full Legal Name  * Street Address  *Phone Number  *Type of photo ID  *Birthdate

3. ATTEND Orientation.

As stated above attendance at EVERY DAY of orientation is mandatory. Please put the dates in your calendar and set reminders.

Orientation is important because during this process students will complete a basic assessment of academic skills that instructors will use to determine the students' starting point.

Teachers will give students class information at the end of the orientation period. PLEASE remember your photo ID and Social Security card on the first day of orientation
